The Week - Exploring the Engadine

A change in perspective can change everything. Throughout the week, we’ll venture into the spectacular landscapes of the Swiss Alps, weaving our retreat practice with shared excursions, time in the mountains, and plenty of space to choose your own level of adventure.

Group Excursions

Free Time

to rest or explore

Tuesday and Thursday afternoons will offer spacious time to follow your own energy.

If restoration is in order, you’ll have complimentary access to the Bellavita Pool & Spa, directly connected to our hotel, with indoor and outdoor heated pools, saunas, steam bath and relaxation spaces. Treatments may also be available by appointment.

If you’d rather explore, possibilities include a private horse-drawn carriage ride, e-bike rental, paragliding, shopping or sightseeing in St. Moritz, visiting Lake St. Moritz, or exploring local art and Alpine museums.

You are equally welcome to do very little. Wander Pontresina, find a café, return to the spa, sit with your journal, or simply enjoy an unscheduled afternoon in the mountains.

Delicious and thoughtfully crafted meals are arranged throughout the week, with dietary needs accommodated and several evenings free to explore Pontresina restaurants.

how active is this retreat?

as active as you want it to be

You do not need to be an experienced hiker to enjoy this retreat. Several excursions offer multiple options, so those who want a significant alpine hike can have one while those who prefer a gentler walk—or no hike at all—can still fully participate in the day.

The more demanding routes are true high-alpine trails and are intended for experienced, properly equipped hikers. Good hiking or trekking shoes will also be required for several of our shorter walks. Detailed recommendations and packing information will be provided well before departure.
